class description

Join us as we dive into the practice of postures stemming from the Bishnu Ghosh lineage. This 75-minute class consists of breathing exercises designed to increase lung capacity and postures sequenced to improve mobility and mental concentration. The postures we practice have been passed down through multiple generations of yogis and have proven to serve humanity by outstanding the test of time. You will be guided step by step through each posture and learn benefits of the posture while increasing your body and mind's ability to concentrate. Class will end with stillness and relaxation. This class is appropriate for beginners and students seeking to deepen their hatha practice. Working mindfully together to reduce stress in the nervous and skeletal system, we will collectively create a safe space of healing and community. Our aim is to leave you in a place of better balance, strength, and self-discipline.

Pre-registration online is required for class. In consideration of our instructors' time and dedication to your practice, kindly honor your class registrations by either attending or providing at least 3 hours' notice if you're unable to make it. Failure to do so will result in an invoice for the class or use of your class card credit, as our teacher will be prepared and waiting to guide you through your practice.
